We’re funded by the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS), and the EU, so we don’t need to charge for the support we give you, or take commission from anyone. You can work with us on a regular basis too, as your business grows and changes – there’s no time limit.

Can you help me get a business grant?

This is a really common question, and the answer is maybe. We’re lucky enough to live in a region with one of the lowest unemployment rates in Europe. That’s obviously great for our communities, but it does mean we’re not a priority area for Government business grants. At the moment there are two grant schemes available for businesses in rural parts of Hertfordshire, or businesses working on innovation projects. They are competitive and your project or plan will be assessed against others. You can find out more by getting touch with our finance specialist Martin Carr. Of course, things change all the time, so to make sure you don’t miss out on new funding opportunities as they arise, just sign up to our e-newsletter.
