The Hub is designed to help established Hertfordshire businesses grow, so to access our support you need to have been in business for two years or more. While we can’t offer you direct help now, we can point you in the direction of some fantastic organisations designed to help start-ups – and once you’ve been going a little longer, we’d love to help you continue to grow.
Yes, completely free. We’re funded by the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS), and the EU, so we don’t need to charge for the support we give you, or take commission from anyone. That means we can be completely impartial and honest, giving you the very best advice for your specific situation. You can work with us on a regular basis too, as your business grows and changes – there’s no time limit.
This is a really common question, and the answer is maybe. We’re lucky enough to live in a region with one of the lowest unemployment rates in Europe. That’s obviously great for our communities, but it does mean we’re not a priority area for Government business grants. At the moment there are two grant schemes available for businesses in rural parts of Hertfordshire, or businesses working on innovation projects.
