Discover more about this thriving sector by joining us at the state-of-the-art Sky Studios Elstree for the Hertfordshire Film & TV Supply Chain Showcase on the 28th of May 1pm-5.30 pm.

Hertfordshire has firmly established itself as the global centre for film and screen industries, surpassing even Los Angeles in production activity. The region holds historical significance and global importance in the screen industries, with Elstree Film Studios celebrating its centenary. Iconic films such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Muppet Show, and The Shining were made here, alongside newer projects including Wicked and Barbie at Sky Studios Elstree.

The film and TV supply chain involves numerous businesses, from production companies to equipment suppliers, post-production houses, and distribution networks. Through the DCMS Create Growth Programme, businesses in Hertfordshire are being helped to diversify and supply to the industry, develop their value propositions and become investment ready.

About the Create Growth Programme

Create Growth is a national programme, led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in partnership with Innovate UK. Hertfordshire Futures secured this programme to support creative sector SMEs with high growth potential. Offering business support, including assistance for those looking to access grant funding and investment, the programme has successfully supported over 60 businesses since the programme opened in April 2024.

The objectives of the Create Growth Programme are to support high-growth potential businesses to become investment ready by developing businesses’ knowledge, skills and access to finance and Increase the number of investors willing to invest in businesses, by educating and developing investor networks.
