During the last two years the impact of COVID-19 has had a significant impact on businesses, affecting working practices, staffing, finances and putting additional pressures on workforces to operate within restricted guidelines. All of this has taken a toll on our workforces, in particular their health and wellbeing.
A happy, healthy workplace is good for business. It improves productivity, absenteeism, and employee retention, as well as strengthening your ability as a business to adapt and respond to the economy and our ever-changing environment. Hertfordshire County Council recognises there is a need, as businesses begin their pandemic recovery, to help you, as employers imbed wellbeing into your business. Hertfordshire County Council’s Public Health team are developing a workplace health and wellbeing programme to support businesses like yours.
This programme of free support will enable employers in Hertfordshire to address health issues in their workplace, by giving them the knowledge, resources and skillset needed to implement a wellbeing framework to support staff’s health and wellbeing. An example of what we mean by ‘workplace health and wellbeing’ and the type of support the programme might offer is below:
To make sure the programme is focusing on the right areas the Public Health team want to hear from you, through a short survey to understand what the needs in your business might be. They would really appreciate your time in giving feedback, so they can develop a programme that will support your workforce going forwards.
