Net Zero and Sustainability Resources

If you are still confused by Net Zero terminology or want to invest in sustainability projects for your company, there are plenty of resources available to you through our Marketplace and Knowledge Bank.

Eastern New Energy Programme’s grant scheme can help provide funding to cover up to 25% of capital costs of putting low carbon and energy efficient measures put in place, such as LED lighting and solar PV. They are also offering the following support to SMEs in Hertfordshire free of charge:

  • Vehicle Fleet Audits
  • Site Energy Surveys
  • Advanced Metering Systems
  • Grants to Install Low Carbon Technologies
  • Innovation Support
  • Research Collaboration for Innovation
  • Net Zero Action Planning

You can read more about the funding by registering or logging in and then visiting the Marketplace listing here.

You can also apply for a match-funded grant of between £1,000 - £5,000 from Low Carbon Workspaces to go towards projects that reduce your greenhouse gas emissions – which the Low Carbon Workspaces team can calculate for you. Read more and find out how to apply here.

We also have an On Demand Video: “Net Zero – what does it mean for your business?” available to watch any time in our Knowledge Bank. With speakers covering the importance of Net Zero and the benefits of striving to achieve it, this video is a useful introduction into this increasingly important topic.

Serco are also providing fully funded training for you and your workforce as part of Skills Support for the Workforce. The training sessions available are:

  • Carbon Awareness for Office-Based Workers
  • Carbon Awareness for Construction Workers
  • Carbon Awareness for Health and Care Sector
  • Carbon Awareness for the Logistics Sector

You can watch our On-Demand Video: Funded Training for Carbon Awareness that goes into more detail about the courses and how you can apply.

There is also a useful flyer summarising the resources available, which you can view here.
