Our Marketplace is a free local directory of Hertfordshire businesses offering high-quality advice, support and B2B services. It’s a great way to advertise your services to SMEs in the county – or to find local businesses who can help you make things happen.
Joining our Marketplace is a free, simple way to grow your customer base. Every business that joins gets a listing on this page and is promoted on Twitter too. If you’d like to apply, please fill in our registration form.
Our new digital business support platform will be going live in the next couple of weeks. Therefore, we are no longer accepting new supplier listings to the current website. Once the platform is live, you'll be able to register as a supplier!

The South East Apprenticeship Company (SEAC) is an Apprenticeship Training Agency endorsed by the National Apprenticeship Service. We offer an alternative way for your company to take an apprentice – we employ and you “host” the Apprentice on a placement basis. This low risk option of taking an Apprentice on is of particular benefit to companies that do not have the infrastructure to employ an Apprentice direct or have never had an Apprentice before and value the support that SEAC provides. The service may also be of interest to companies not in a position to provide a full time opportunity but are happy to “share” the Apprentice with another company or to large companies with Head Count challenges / experiencing a recruitment freeze SEAC carry out the recruitment, free of charge, source the training provision, identify the most appropriate Apprenticeship Framework and take full employment responsibility for the Apprentice i.e. pay rolling, performance management including dealing with grievance and disciplinary matters, safeguarding, Health and Safety etc.
Ongoing support is then provided to both your business and the Apprentice by one of SEAC’s experienced Account Managers for the duration of the apprenticeship.
There is currently a government grant of £1500 available to those companies that have not had an Apprentice in the last year and have fewer than 50 staff to offset some of the costs involved. The statutory minimum wage from 1st October 2015 is currently set at £3.30 per hour and the Apprentice has to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
All companies trading in the Hertfordshire area will benefit from a discounted service fee.
