Sue Hazelton
SME Wellbeing Project Coordinator
Biography
Sue has been employed in various roles as a manager, strategist, commissioner and practitioner within private, statutory and third sector organisations including the construction industry, a newspaper group (including writing an “Agony Aunt” column!), the grocery industry, NHS clinical settings, public health, educational settings and a drug and alcohol agency. She has also worked as a freelance trainer and facilitator delivering training around a range of courses, including the Mental Health First Aid programme, and has supported organisations to set up and deliver workplace health and wellbeing programmes, policies and procedures. Sue graduated as a Doctor in Health Psychology in July 2020 from the UWE in Bristol, has Chartered status with the British Psychological Society and is registered as a Health Psychologist with the Health Care and Professions Council. Her research was conducted in a male dominated private sector organisation and investigated the health and wellbeing impacts of shift working and what psychosocial interventions could mitigate the negative effects.

Biography
Originally from Germany, Corinna Hartwig comes from a line of family run businesses and is passionate about wellbeing in the workplace, better business and stronger communities. She combines a pro-active attitude, with an aptitude to think creatively, along with strong mentoring/advisory, facilitating & funding skills to support businesses, in particular VCSEs. She is well networked in Hertfordshire, where she lives with her family.

Are you unsure how to handle difficult conversations around wellbeing?
Feeling unsure how to steer your team through the current challenges to keep them motivated, supported and well at work?
Join us for a two-hour virtual event delivered via Zoom, which will introduce you to tools and techniques from our 'Wellbeing During Challenging Times' Guide, developed in partnership with the Behaviour Change Unit at Hertfordshire County Council and UCL Centre for Global Non-Communicable Diseases.
The guide, part of our Wellbeing and Resilience Programme of support in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council, provides you with tools and techniques to help improve wellbeing and mental health in the workplace. Even if you have limited or no experience with mental health you will feel more confident to start to proactively address wellbeing in the workplace with people managers, employees, and colleagues.
The event will focus on:
- Wellbeing and resilience
- Increasing employee morale.
- Reducing absenteeism and increasing productivity
- Improving wellbeing across the workforce
Key outcomes:
- Greater awareness of importance of wellbeing self-care
- Increased confidence in handling difficult conversations around wellbeing
- Greater ability to discuss and signpost to support options
- Increased awareness of resources and professional support available in Hertfordshire
We encourage questions to ensure that delegates can get the most out of the event, and so the last 30 minutes will be an opportunity for Q&A.
